Nauczyciel John Lacey pewnego dnia po powrocie do domu nie zastał w nim swojej żony, a jedynie krótką notkę, że jego małżonka postanowiła zostawić go dla jego najlepszego przyjaciela. John nie potrafi poradzić sobie z nową sytuacją i szuka pomocy w grupie podobnych sobie ludzi.
