W roku 1955 nowa grupa rekrutów trafia do bazy Royal Air Force w Skelton, gdzie mają rozpocząć służbę. Tutaj poznają też kaprala Marsha, który spowoduje, że będą żałować tego, że się urodzili.

New party of recruits arrive to RAF base in Skelton. Corporal Marsh takes them under his caring wings.

| Recruits are excited about the local dance party, but the reality will bring them down to earth. |
5 | Boots |
| Lilley keeps getting in trouble with Corporal Marsh, who as punishment nails his boots to the floor. |
6 | Picket Detail |
| Recruits are sent to guard the base. They have to do something when officer in charge of them gets drunk. |
7 | 36-Hour Pass |
| The recruits are given 36-hour pass. Lilley’s sister comes to pick him up and the rest of them are astonished with her beauty and the fact how different they are. |
8 | Christmas at the Camp |
| Christmas Special episode. The recruits are spending the worst Christmas of their life - in the base with nothing interesting to do. But Corporal Marsh will find them something to do since his wife refused to cook him a turkey. |
