Caroline Todd is about to start her job in the hospital, but everything goes wrong on that day.

After Caroline spent the night in Guy’s flat the rumours about are spread around the hospital and Caroline is determined to stop them.

Caroline needs to find a lodger for her house, but all the candidates are weird, psychotic or seriously weird. She suddenly finds more or less suitable candidate among the staff.

Joanna turns 48 and is not happy about it, especially when she finds out that intriguing present she received was from Alan and not Lyndon.

Martin is preparing for the exams, Mac applies for the better position and Caroline tries to find out what happened during the party.

Alan plans to raise money for charity by "slave auction", but his jelousy about Joanna pushes him to put his own name on the list. Meanwhile Mac accepts the job in Sheffield, which makes Caroline realize how she will miss him.

It’s Mac’s last day and Caroline is determined to stop him from moving to Sheffield. To prove that Guy is unable to sleep with older women Mac bets him that he can’t sleep with Joanna. The letter they haven’t seen makes it an emergency.
