Mac is in coma after the cliffhanger that ended the first series. When he wakes up he can’t remember what happened in last few weeks, including falling in love with Caroline.

Mac still can’t recall things from before the incident and Guy doesn’t help much by messing with his mind.

Documentary crew arrives to the hospital and when Angela becomes a star of the show Caroline can’t help being jealous. Martin comes up with a tape of Guy having sex with Joanna and places it in wrong hands.

After departure of Angela new paediatrician arrives, but when it turns out it is Mac’s ex-girlfriend it again puts Caroline in difficult position.

It turns out that Holly, Mac’s ex-girlfriend, had another ace up her sleeve - suddenly she presents her 4-year-old son, who looks strikingly similiar to Mac.

Joanna wants to put Alan in his place and for that she hires a dwarf, but her plan backfires... Mac decides that he should be with his son.

When Caroline tries to cope with the idea that she will never be with Mac she begins to see a different side of Guy.

Caroline finally gets the proposal... Well, three actually, but as usual nothing is as simple as it seems.
